Observing Information

For many amateur astronomers, the hobby centers around actually seeing the many objects we read about.  The very thrill of visual astronomy is what attracts many to the hobby in the first place.  There are so many things to see and do in observational astronomy, that no one need become bored with having seen or done it all.  Here are some predictions and observational targets to use in generating your observing list.

 Current Lunar Phase

The current lunar phase courtesy of the US Naval Observatory.  This is a "real time" view of the moon.  It is updated each time the page is reloaded.  For more information and details, visit the USNO Web Site.  There is a wealth of interesting data be found there.
